Art St. Louis XXX, The Exhibition

30th annual all media, all techniques, all styles, all themes juried exhibit open to St. Louis regional artists. Juror: Nancy Newman Rice, artist, St. Louis, MO.
Nancy Newman Rice was born in New York City and was educated at Cornell University and at Washington University, where she earned a BFA with honors and an MFA. She has received awards that include a National Endowment for the Arts/MMA Fellowship for painting, Artist’s Residency Award at the Cite Internationale des Arts, Paris, and nominations for a Tiffany Award and an AVA Award in the Visual Arts. Ms. Rice has exhibited her work internationally and has had a number of solo exhibits in both galleries and museums including: Saint Louis Art Museum, MO; Saint Louis University Museum of Art, MO; The Regina Quick Center for the Arts, NY; The Museum Gallery of Southeast Missouri State University, MO; Duane Reed Gallery in St. Louis MO; and Sazama Gallery, Chicago IL. Ms. Rice has also participated in group exhibits in museums and galleries including: The Cedar Rapids Museum of Art, IA; The Wustum Museum of Art WI; Daum Museum of Contemporary Art, MO; Katharina Rich Perlow Gallery, NY; Craighead-Green Gallery, Dallas, TX. Her work is included in public and private collections in the U.S. and abroad. Ms. Rice taught at Maryville University in St. Louis for 34 years and was the Eleanor Lawler Pillsbury Professor of Art. Nancy Newman Rice is a founding member of Art Saint Louis and we are honored to have her serve as Juror of this prestigious 30th anniversary exhibition.
This exhibit is still in the process of being juried—ALL artists who submitted works for this show will be notified by email by September 19, 2014.
